How do I know I can trust my cleaning team?

We completely understand the trust involved in letting strangers into your home. We don’t take this responsibility lightly. All of our staff are licensed, bonded and insured. We undertake a criminal background check, take comprehensive references and have a rigorous interview process.

How are your staff trained and supervised?

We pay above industry standard wages and hire staff already experienced in cleaning, organization, hoarding or elderly care. We provide further training on-site. All of our staff are also supervised by a senior case manager, or by the company owner.

Will I always have the same cleaning team?

We know the importance of consistency. Depending on client schedules, we always make the utmost effort to keep the same cleaning team.

I wish to employ your services for my relative, how do you manage communications this way?

You can call our office any time, 24/7. A care manager will contact you within 30 minutes to discuss your needs and our process. We often deal with a relative or carer and we ensure that all parties are kept informed of progress and schedules.

Should a carer or relative be at home for the visit?

We are able to work whether you or your loved one are present or not. For peace of mind, many clients choose to have somebody home.

What should I do before a home visit?

We provide all cleaning supplies. We also tidy and organize, in addition to cleaning, so there is no need to straighten the house.  We recommend that you spend time determining what you will need and prepare any family members that are involved with this process.

What if something in my home is damaged by your team?

We are fully bonded and insured. On the rare occasion that something is damaged, we ensure that it is fixed, at our cost.

What if you miss a spot?

If you are not completely satisfied with the completion of the job, we will return and remedy the situation at no additional cost.

Do you work/co-ordinate with other professionals (eg. social workers, in-home nursing care etc)?

Yes. We have great relationships with social workers, nursing and care providers. We also work closely with hospital discharge teams. A lot of these providers also recommend us to clients.

Do I provide the cleaning supplies and equipment?

No. We provide everything. If you have specific brands you would like us to use, we can make sure we supply it.

What happens if I need to reschedule?

Just call us. We are friendly and flexible!

Do I sign a contract with you?

We do not ask for upfront fees or a long term contract, but in order to protect both parties, we do set proper expectations through a day-to-day service agreement.

What are your cleaning rates?

Every case and situation is different. Industry standard is approximately $25 per hour but varies according to the type of work being undertaken. At the time of the initial (free) assessment, we will determine prices based on your needs.

How do I pay?

Our payment methods include credit card, direct debit, or check. All major credit cards are accepted.

What expertise do you have in organizing clutter / resolving hoarding?

Our owner is trained and certified in hoarding services. Every hoarding situation is different. Some clients want to be involved in the process so it may take longer, some may be in a hospital and their home needs attention before they return. We always remain aware that hoarding requires patience and compassion.

What expertise do you have in dealing with seniors?

Senior Cleaning Co has been founded by a team with over 12 years experience in working with seniors including assisted living, skilled nursing, and hourly care.

What home modifications do you supply?

Based on our years of geriatric care experience, we are able to make knowledgeable recommendations on home modifications and then source the most appropriate supplier.
